BEAUTY BANTER: LIPS - SHADES OF PINK
Our eyes have been darting to the painted pouts of our favorite muses and we've noticed something: their lips are tickled all different shades of pink. From rose to raspberry, for spring we've noticed the use of a range of different pink hues.
At Jil Sander the bright, what we like to call hot-barbie-pink was an effective pop against simple clean makeup, pulled back hair and the white tees in the collection. At the Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 show, Easy A star Emma Stone sported a very light cotton-candy pink lip which played well with her super-light locks. French actress Melanie Thierry had a strawberry matte looking mouth which bounced in harmony with the show of hot pink in her nude ensemble. And last but not least, Miss Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has us ready to run out the door to buy a shade of bold raspberry lipstick.
