BUY NOW: FLORAL MAXIS
We were taken by the casual bohemian grace of Rosie Huntington Whiteley over the weekend, prompting us to examine what made the simplicity of her look so effective. Rosie (by any other name would not make this story so sweet) was snapped in Los Angeles running errands in a piece we now think is a mandatory staple for summer wardrobes: a floral maxi dress.
This RHW sighting made the need for such a seasonal dress blossom in our mind. As seen at Dolce and Gabbana and Erdem this spring, a floor-sweeping frock in a blooming print evokes a certain hippie chic glamour that matches the carefree essence of summertime. Seek out flowing chiffon versions, slinky jersey types, and silhouettes that gather and cinch at the waist for flattering appeal. For daytime wear, keep it low-key like Huntington-Whiteley in minimal accessories. Spring for neutral flats or sandals and some major sunglasses. Keep makeup fresh and hair lightly windblown or weave in a braid. Getting dressed hasn't ever been so easy.
