SF OBSESSION: BRIGHT BRITCHES
Step out of fall's traditional black-and-white world and into color via super-bright colored pants. Seen at Yigal Azrouel, DKNY, Balenciaga and Celine Resort 2012, we are obsessed with the look of bright-colored trousers worn with taming neutral blouses, sweaters and outerwear. This trend has been lingering since spring, but it's the first fall season in recent years that we've seen poppy palettes liven up the usual autumn hues via unabashedly bright slacks and jeans.
Dree Hemingway had the bright idea in neon orange jeans, and a stylish street-dresser partially covered up her hot pink pants with a knee-length coat to soften the blow. From traffic light yellow, to tangerine, to electric blue, and to flamingo pink get flashy with your pants and wear with textured knits, tweeds, leather and wool pieces in grays, whites, nudes, and other desaturated swatches. This season when it comes to our britches, we plan to live life in living color!
