HOW THEY DO: JUMPERS
Playsuits, onesies, rompersand by any other name, jumpers make a sweet little statement. In terms of practicality they can't be beatit's one-step dressing at its best. They're a summer favorite allowing you to wear less without running the risk of looking skimpy while keeping you cool.
Trend-setters have certainly jumped on the jumper train. Leighton Meester, Beyonce Knowles, Sienna Miller, and Lauren Conrad all styled their rompers with their own personal flare. Read on for the rundown on each of these glowing examples of onesies done right.
LEIGHTON MEESTER
Meester's jumper interpretation is one of our faves. She took her Kettle Plaid Jumper (shop in thumbnails below) and upped the ladylike factor by adding a blazer, edgy wedges, and a classic square-shaped bag that provided a punch of color.
BEYONCE KNOWLES
We'll be the first to admit that Knowles' romper makes us want to take a vacation. She looks cool, natural, and was smart to let the bright, geometric pattern of her Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent jumper (shop in thumbnails below) speak for itself.
SIENNA MILLER
Miller is equipped with great stems, but we think this red romper from her Twenty8Twelve collection (shop in the thumbnails below) would look fantastic on anybody. She gave hers a quirky finish with oxford flats.
LAUREN CONRAD
Rompers are an unexpected choice for a night out on the town, and we love that Conrad took advantage of the demure look one can provide. She paired her jumper with tights and a sharp blazer. Like the Derek Lam S/S 2010 runway showed, a white tux-inspired blazer will really dress up a floral-print.
