ONE TO WATCH: ALEXANDRA DADDARIO
"How's that? Really beautiful I bet," jokes Alexandra Daddario as she strikes a pose that for the average human being would look ridiculous, but somehow looks absolutely stunning when she does it. And the best part about her: she's completely oblivious to how beautiful she is.
Daddario may not be hard on the eyes, but that's not the only reason she's ONE TO WATCH. The actress is a major up-and-comer, with appearances on the popular series White Collar on USA and as the leading heroine of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief based on the book series of the same name (DVD release is around the corner...June 29, 2010). With an enchanting charisma about her, she's been in the business since early adolescence when she got her start on the soap All My Children. She considers her time on the show a career highlight along with landing the role of Annabeth in Percy Jackson. "And moving to Los Angeles from New York was a big step for me, getting out here and living on my own," Daddario says proudly. "I just got my driver's license [when she was 23] because I never needed it living in Manhattan!"
As far as her personal style, it's clear she'd look fine in a paper bag, but Daddario favors a uniform of skinny jeans and a soft tee: "I love dressing up, but on a normal day I'm very casual and dressed for comfort." She depends on a few staples like her Chanel classic flap bag, black Elizabeth and James blazer, James Perse tank tops, and her pair of Hudson wide flare jeans. Her easy-going attire is likely a reflection on her casual lifestyle. Daddario's happiest laying low with friends, watching a Woody Allen flick or reading a Steve Martin book with green-tea ice cream or a bag of M&Ms on hand. That visual is about as endearing as Daddario herself.
